As an HR Generalist at our company, you will play a crucial role in supporting various HR functions to ensure smooth operations and employee satisfaction. You will handle a wide range of responsibilities from supporting recruitment efforts, managing employee relations, processing employee changes and ensuring regulatory compliance. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations:
* Address employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll.
* Assist and advise managers with planning and executing performance management solutions
* Assist in resolving employee relations issues, conducting investigations, and implementing solutions.
* Conduct exit interviews
HR Administration:
* Maintain HR records and ensure accuracy in Vista Viewpoint ERP, Box and other systems.
* Prepare and process HR documents such as personnel changes and termination paperwork.
* Manage and track leaves of absence, ADA interactive processes, return to work / fitness for duty and other HR processes.
* Assist HR Business Partners with organizational processes including: performance review cycles, merit cycle, engagement surveys and plans, talent review and retention efforts, as needed.
* Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports
Compliance and Policy Management:
* Ensure compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.
* Update and communicate HR policies and procedures, as needed
Other Duties:
* Assist with full-cycle recruitment using iCIMS.
* Support Total Rewards COE with benefits administration and open enrollment processes, as needed.
* Participate in HR projects, initiatives and continuous improvement initiatives, as assigned.
* Provide backup support to other HR team members as needed.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
* Strong understanding of HR functions, employment law and best practices.
* Preferred - Proficiency with Vista Viewpoint ERP, Smartsheet, Box, Gallup, HireRight, and iCIMS.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
* Detail-oriented and organized, with strong time management skills.
* Team player who can also work independently and proactively.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
* 3+ years of experience in HR roles, with demonstrated knowledge of HR operations.
* Experience supporting union environments strongly preferred
* HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
This role will be in-office on a hybrid schedule. Employees will be expected to work in the Westminster, CO office 3 days per week on Tuesday, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The expected base pay range for this position in the Westminster, CO area is $26.00- $31.25. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location. Range is not inclusive of potential bonus or benefits.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, and use hands and fingers to operate computers, telephones, printers and keyboards.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be able to use vision to read documents and use computer screens.
Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds occasionally.
Work is typically conducted in a standard office environment with moderate noise levels due to office activities and interactions.
Must be able to travel occasionally.
