We are currently recruiting for a Fall Arrest Installation Team Leader. The successful Fall Arrest Engineering Team Lead will be responsible for the safe on-site installation of fall protection and rope access equipment. Your role is crucial in ensuring these systems are installed according to the scope of works, design drawings, and industry standards. You will lead your team to carry out all jobs safely and efficiently, maintaining the Company’s high standards.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Take charge of specific installation operations on-site, ensuring the team works cohesively and efficiently.
2. Maintain clear communication with Site Managers and clients throughout the installation process.
3. Ensure all installations adhere to the Method Statement, approved drawings, British Standards, and manufacturer guidelines.
4. Maintenance: Oversee the care and maintenance of company equipment, materials, and vehicles.
5. Accurately complete all PTSG paperwork in a timely manner, using basic IT skills for email reporting and project-specific online portals.
6. Professionalism: Maintain a smart, professional company image, ensuring all corporate clothing is worn and company vans are clean and tidy.
Key Challenges:
7. The role involves working outdoors at heights, requiring access to rooftops and difficult-to-reach places. Engineers will handle and lift light equipment and work on diverse sites, from high-rise commercial properties to large retail units and industrial structures. Driving is essential due to the size and location of the customer base.
Role Dimensions:
8. Ensure the team represents the Company impeccably, providing excellent customer service.
9. Assess and implement changes to improve site efficiency based on client and management feedback.
10. Continuously enhance knowledge through personal development and regular training courses.
11. While predominantly Northern based, the role requires flexibility and occasional travel across the UK, with all expenses covered.
Skills & Experience:
12. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
13. Experience working at heights and in small teams is desirable.
14. Excellent time management skills with flexibility to meet business needs.
15. Ability to overcome on-site challenges and find effective solutions.
16. Practical experience in installing and testing fixings (torque setting) in construction or related environments.
17. SSSTS/IOSH or equivalent, CSCS Card.
18. Physically fit and able to work at heights.
19. High level of personal pride and motivation to succeed.
20. Driving Licence: Full, clean driving licence.
