Hays are working with a successful business who are looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their team on a part-time basis in Telford, 30 hours per week.
Your new role
You will work closely with the Financial Controller and be responsible for the following duties:
* Sales Ledger - Post and allocate cash
* Reconciliations
* Credit control - chasing debts via phone, letter and email and resolving queries
* Liaising with the sales team regarding new accounts
* Purchase Ledger - Processing invoices, reconciling statements, resolving supplier queries
* Process company credit cards
* Liaising with employees to obtain monthly returns and receipts
* Reconciling, coding and posting to nominal accounts
* Liaise and work with employees managing queries
* Any additional ad hoc tasks
What you'll need to succeed
You should be an experienced Accounts Assistant who has good IT skills and is self-motivated, able to work on your own initiative.
What you'll get in return
The role is 30 hours per week, but the business is flexible on whether you would like to do this over 4 days per week or shorter hours over 5 days. This is a lovely role within a nice team, offering autonomy and opportunities to develop as the business grows.
