About the role: Travel and Tourism Teacher
Activate Learning is currently seeking a Travel and Tourism Teacher to join our team at Oxford College on a permanent, part-time basis.
We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic, and creative individuals who can inspire our Travel and Tourism students, ensuring they have a memorable learning experience.
With your strong subject knowledge and practical skills, you will collaborate with our talented and passionate teaching team to plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons up to level 3. You will also contribute to curriculum development to keep pace with evolving industry demands.
This is a permanent, part-time opportunity working 21 hours per week (0.58 FTE) at our Oxford City Campus.
What do you need to be successful as a Travel and Tourism Teacher at Activate Learning?
Teachers serve as role models for our students, ensuring they graduate with not only their professional qualifications but also the essential skills needed to thrive in the workplace. A genuine passion for working with and nurturing young people is essential.
If you can enhance our students' knowledge in areas such as Aviation and the Airline Industry, Worldwide Travel and Tourism Destinations, the UK Travel Industry, Customer Service in Travel and Tourism, or Tour Operations and Travel Agency Management, we want to hear from you!
While prior teaching experience or qualifications would be advantageous, they are not mandatory. If you hold the necessary qualifications to teach our Travel and Tourism courses and possess the qualities to be an inspiring educator, we will provide the training, development, and support you need to succeed in the FE sector.
* Level 3 or above qualification and experience in the Travel and Tourism sector is essential.
* It is desirable if you have a teaching qualification and have worked within education as a teacher, but this is not essential.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be outstanding and support your ability to deliver interesting and purposeful lessons to a diverse range of learners. You will also have strong organization skills coupled with the ability to prioritize workloads and will benefit from being part of a supportive team, working in a varied and interesting role with a variety of opportunities for career development.
