About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role: This is a fantastic opportunity to work as a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant where you will play a crucial role in both the classroom environment and working 1:1 with those with a range of Special Educational Needs, whilst developing your skills and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Assist teachers with classroom management and lesson preparation.
* Provide 1-1 support for children with SEN.
* Adapt learning materials and resources to meet the needs of every child in the classroom, including those with SEN.
* Support social and emotional development for all and be a positive role model.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Ideally a background in Psychology with some clinical experience - not necessary.
* Experience working within the education sector is desired.
* Academically strong and enthusiastic about education.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
* An enhanced DBS on the online update service is desired but not necessary.
