N355 - Team Manager Role Profile
This is a great time to join us in Plymouth as the Team Manager of our Children with Disabilities Team (CDT). This is a specialist social work team offering support and interventions to disabled children, their parents, and carers. In Plymouth, we are committed to inclusive approaches and are working closely with partners to develop inclusive and specialist provisions for children with additional and complex needs where they are needed.
You will be experienced in working closely with professionals from key partner agencies, particularly SEND and specialist health professionals. You will have previous experience of working in this area and in ensuring high-quality supervision and effective management oversight of practice to deliver high-quality and timely safeguarding interventions, assessments, and support to families, building strong partnership approaches, and using evidence-based approaches. You will have a track record in putting the views and experiences of children and families at the heart of everything you do. You will be committed to ensuring children, young people, and families get the right help at the right time.
We are making further improvements, following our positive ILACS, to ensure all children and young people experience high-quality services and good outcomes. You will be joining a service that is trauma-informed, restorative, and relational in how we work. You will have access to a high-quality leadership and management development programme and a 'High Expectations, High Support, High Challenge' culture in a service that is ambitious about improving outcomes for all children and young people.
The Disclosure & Barring Service Check requirement for this post is: DBS Children’s Barred List & DBS Adult’s Barred List.
This role is not suitable for flexible working due to the needs of the service.
