Job Overview
Applications are invited for a Locum Specialty Doctor in Orthodontics (2PA’s) to work on Mondays for a period of 6 months. The post consists of personal treatment sessions for complex and multi-disciplinary cases. Aspects of the post will involve supervision and training of specialist trainee registrars.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Providing advice and, where appropriate, treatment.
2. Helping to develop the service in accordance with Trust Policy.
3. Teaching, training, and supervising postgraduate trainees as appropriate.
You will have 4 years full-time postgraduate experience (or equivalent gained on a part-time or flexible basis), at least two of which will be in a specialty training programme in Orthodontics or as a fixed-term specialty trainee in Orthodontics, or shall have equivalent experience and competencies.

The applicant must have demonstrable skills in listening, reading, writing, and speaking in English that enable effective communication about medical topics with patients and colleagues, as set out in the GMC’s Good Medical Practice (2013). Non-UK applicants must possess the IELTS/OET exam before obtaining a GMC licence to practice.
Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Dental Council at the time of application is required.
