Role Summary
The Field Service Technician will be responsible for providing on-site technical support, installation, configuration, and maintenance of information communication technologies (ICT) hardware and software. This role will involve both internal and customer-facing activities and requires a strong understanding of Microsoft technologies.
Key Responsibilities
* Installation and Configuration: Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment, including servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and network infrastructure.
* Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support to resolve hardware and software issues.
* Incident Management: Manage incidents and faults efficiently, following established procedures and processes.
* Problem Solving: Investigate and analyze technical problems to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
* Technical Training: Participate in technical training programs and apply acquired knowledge to improve skills and performance.
* Project Management: Contribute to project management activities, including planning, execution, and monitoring.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
* Degree or equivalent in an ICT or related field.
* Current Microsoft or VMware certifications (e.g., VMware, Microsoft Server, Microsoft Exchange).
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field service, installation, configuration, and maintenance of ICT equipment.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office (including O365), printers/multi-function devices, desktop/laptop & mobile devices (Android & iOS), TCP/IP networking & switches.
* Proven ability in incident management and fault diagnosis.
* Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technical skills.
* Experience in investigating, analyzing, and presenting technical solutions.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
* Experience with Active Directory, Exchange Online Admin, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, Azure, VoIP, and project management.
