This is an exciting time to join East Kent Hospital University Foundation Trust and in particular the Community Child Health Service.
The service works out of 5 areas across East Kent with Consultants leading a multidisciplinary team including Speciality Doctor/ Psychologist/ Specialist Nurse/ SLT/OT and PT.
We are currently seeking a Consultant (5 PAs/job) to join our multi-disciplinary team. We work with children and young people aged 0-19 with a range of difficulties including developmental delay, developmental disorders and complex neuro-disability.
Main duties of the job
You will be based at the Green Banks Thanet, and will be involved in the care of children and families from the Thanet locality. You will share responsibility with other Consultants in Thanet for supervising the Speciality doctor.
You will have shared responsibility with Consultant colleagues for Neuro-disability including Autism assessments. There will also be the opportunity to develop a specialist interest dependant on experience, and opportunity to link into the Evelina Children's Hospital.

Person Specification
Qualifications and training
* Medical qualification and appropriate Royal College membership or fellowship
* Full GMC Registration
* High Diploma (Fellowship or membership) of speciality college
* CCT/CESR (or within 6 months of CCT)
* Other higher degree or diploma
Skills and experience
* Has completed higher specialist training in paediatrics including 2 years of Community Paediatrics or Neuro-disability
* Has completed GRID training in Community Child Health
* Trained in Child Sexual abuse work
* Court skills and report writing as well as court experience
* Training in ASD tool e.g. ADI, ADOS
Clinical governance
* Knowledge of principles of clinical governance and appraisals
Personal/professional attributes
* Upholds and models the Trust values
* Adheres to the GMC code of conduct
* Effective communicator and team player
* Self-motivated to be able to develop their speciality
* Ability to adapt to changing roles and clinical practice
Other requirements
* Can demonstrate the ability and willingness to travel across sites effectively

Salary: £105,504 to £139,882 a year pro rata, per annum
