Wayleave Warden Power Transmission & Distribution team is seeking a Wayleave Warden to support projects across the South East, securing access permissions, working closely with landowners, project teams, and local stakeholders. The main aim of the role is ensuring smooth project delivery with minimal disruption to communities. Key Responsibilities: Engage with landowners, local authorities, and stakeholders to negotiate and secure wayleave agreements. Ensure all necessary permissions and consents are obtained for project access. Act as a liaison between project teams and communities to address concerns. Maintain accurate records of agreements and communications. Support compliance with legal and environmental regulations. As a Wayleave Warden, you will have the following accountabilities: To liaise with client land teams, third party consents, authorities and project team to facilitate project program and project team requirements. This may include Road and footpath closures with local authorities, planning applications for access routes off the public highway, applications to the Rivers and Canals trust etc. Communicate with Client lands team to secure agreed access and ascertain Grantor details and any specific requirements. Work closely with the Client and Project team regarding access to Grantor property, to keep the grantor informed of all required activities. Prepare weekly a grantor concerns schedule to inform all project staff of any specific access restrictions or requirements & photographic / video record of condition prior to access to sites. Record of condition on completion of sites. Essential Requirements Communication skills dealing with landowners and or occupiers and client reps Computer skills to work on Excel spreadsheets and Word documents Base understanding of land management & farming processes that may be affected by construction activities Appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental knowledge and experience. Communication and negotiating skills which are a key element for this role. Full driving license. Desirable Experience Reasonable understanding of civil engineering and excavation works. Understanding of Agriculture and Grantor / land agent requirements. Underground / overhead utility knowledge and experience. Knowledge of traffic management legislation.
