The Emergency Planning Department (EPD) has an exciting career opportunity for two Administrative Officers to join team under the directorate of Captain Base Safety (CBS).
The two posts are embedded within the EPD based at Coulport.
Responsibilities:
Support plan and deliver nuclear and non-nuclear demonstration exercises.
Review, produce and maintain emergency response documentation.
Produce and manage capability rosters to ensure a viable nuclear emergency response organisation is maintained.
Manage periodic checks of dedicated emergency response facilities to ensure a constant state of readiness in maintained.
Monitor the nuclear emergency response organisations Organisation Capability with regard to post-holder training and role complements to ensure risks are appropriately mitigated.
Coordinate an effective nuclear emergency response training regime. With training and experience post-holders can support deliver training.
Maintain the departments nuclear & non-nuclear emergency response equipment databases to ensure effective calibration and maintenance regimes are undertaken and any risks are appropriately mitigated.
Participate in nuclear emergency response exercises. Post-holders, subject to training and experience, are expected be a member of a nuclear emergency response organisation (this, subject to approval and criteria being met attracts an On Call Allowance and Accident Response Commitment Allowance).
Manage a defect risk register associated with nuclear emergency response infrastructure / systems to ensure risks are appropriately managed and mitigated.
To provide administrative support to the Superintendents secondary role of Duty Control Officer, ensuring, essential operational and onsite information is immediately available for rostered duty staff.
