Brambles at Paddox Primary School is a lively SEMH unit for pupils aged 4 to 11 years, with social, emotional, mental health difficulties. We are looking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher who has extremely high expectations to ensure children and young people regardless of gender, ethnicity and religion achieve to the best of their ability.
We are seeking an inspirational and committed Assistant Headteacher to lead provision our Pre-formal Pathway and oversee the physical and sensory provision across the school. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting our students with complex needs, ensuring they receive the best possible education and care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead and manage Brambles, ensuring tailored and engaging learning experiences for our students.
2. Oversee the physical and sensory provision across the school, ensuring that resources and environments meet the individual needs of our students.
3. Collaborate with staff to create an inclusive and stimulating curriculum.
4. Develop and lead professional development for staff to enhance their understanding of social, emotional, mental health needs.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
1. Experience in a leadership role, ideally within a special education setting.
2. An understanding of the pre-formal learning pathway, the physical and sensory provision and how it supports the learning and wellbeing of students.
3. A compassionate and proactive approach to working with students with complex needs.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills.
