We are seeking an enthusiastic Financial Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance team. This role is integral to ensuring financial efficiency and driving the success. Client Details Our client is a well-established firm operating out of Cheshire. This medium to large organisation is renowned for its commitment to continuous improvement and maintaining high service standards. Description Supervision & Development - Manage and mentor a Trainee Financial Accountant, providing guidance and support in their professional growth. Process Improvement - Collaborate with the Financial Controller to standardise policies, enhance processes, and drive continuous improvement across finance operations. Month-End & Reporting - Ensure a timely and accurate month-end close, including balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounts, management accounts, and bi-monthly lender reporting, working closely with the F&PA team. Balance Sheet Management - Oversee journal approvals, postings, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Tax & Compliance - Prepare quarterly Corporation Tax and VAT calculations for submission, presenting findings to the Financial Controller and Finance Director for approval. Lender Reporting - Compile and reconcile bi-monthly lender reporting packs, ensuring adherence to lender covenants before Finance Director sign-off. Reconciliation & Accuracy - Assist in refining payment and collection reconciliation processes, ensuring customer agreements accurately reflect their true balances. Audit & Statutory Accounts - Support the Financial Controller during the external audit process and assist in preparing statutory accounts for group entities. Profile A successful Financial Accountant should have: A degree in Accounting or related field. Professional accounting certification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Proficiency in financial software and MS Office. Strong analytical and strategic planning skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. A strong understanding of business principles and practices. Job Offer An estimated salary range of £45,000 - £55,000 GBP per annum.
