TITLE: Field Maintenance Engineer/Fire Suppression Service Technician
SALARY: £40-55K DOE

Monday - Friday 10 hour days with flexibility required for start and finish times
Participation in a call-out rota once a month
24 days holiday plus bank holidays, with 3 days allocated for Christmas shutdown
Life insurance coverage at three times the annual salary

ROLE: Field Maintenance Engineer/Fire Suppression Service Technician
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated engineer to work in a dynamic environment, maintaining and servicing cutting-edge fire suppression systems primarily focusing on custodial and commercial sites. You will be responsible for the routine servicing, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of Water Mist Fire Protection Systems, as well as other fire protection systems. Carry out system repairs, testing, and commissioning in accordance with industry regulations and company standards. Ensure compliance with fire safety legislation and manufacturer guidelines. Respond to emergency call-outs and provide technical support to clients. Maintain accurate service records and complete detailed reports. Liaise with customers and provide excellent service, ensuring client satisfaction
EXPERIENCE: Field Maintenance Engineer/Fire Suppression Service Technician
You will have proven experience as a Field Maintenance Engineer specialising in Water Mist Fire Suppression Systems as well as other Fire protection systems. Any supervisory experience highly beneficial. A strong understanding of fire safety regulations, industry standards (BS 8458, BS 8489), and compliance requirements is essential. An enhanced Level 1 Security clearance check will be required. Holding a FIRAS (Fire Accreditation Scheme) Certificate, FIA (Fire Industry Association) qualification, or equivalent fire safety certifications would be highly advantageous. Electrical engineers will be Level 3 qualified and hold 17th Edition. Construction Scheme (CSCS) Card highly desirable. Proficient using mobile technologies including smart phones and tablets. You should have the ability to diagnose and resolve faults efficiently, along with a proactive, customer-focused approach and excellent communication skills. A valid UK driving licence is required, as this role involves nationwide travel, primary focusing on regions south of the Midlands
