Operations Finance Analyst Role: Full-time, Fixed term contract - 12mths Location: Barnstaple, Devon Salary: Circa £34k bonus benefits The Role We’re seeking a methodical and proactive Operations Finance Analyst to work closely with assigned stakeholder groups (e.g. our Manufacturing, Planning, Supply Chain teams) to understand their departmental plans and remits and align their financial requirements accordingly – from troubleshooting and solving inefficiencies to regular financial reporting cycles. Arranging regular meetings with your stakeholders, you’ll support their financial performance by conducting robust financial planning and reporting, and by ensuring effective financial control procedures are in place and operating efficiently. Working across our annual and monthly business cycles, you’ll contribute to all annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting activities (including spend analysis and budget tracking), compile monthly financial results for your assigned divisions and conduct the relevant analysis to maintain a current and consistent view of performance, in-line with Group reporting requirements. From this information, you’ll produce clear and easy-to-understand reports (including first class analysis, bridges and commentary) which you’ll communicate to your key stakeholders through written and presentation formats for set deadlines. Working in a Business Partner model, you’ll deliver an excellent and responsive customer service to your client group at all times – additional tasks may include requests for ad hoc information or support with budgeting, forecasting, reporting or control activities. In addition, you’ll work closely with our FP&A Manager and the broader Finance team to support wider projects, as required. The Person Experience in a similar or related finance role – highly numerate and analytical with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Holds, or working towards, an accounting qualification (e.g. AAT, part-qualified CIMA / ACCA). Experience of working with JD Edwards or SAP finance systems would be beneficial. Well organised with the ability to plan and manage your own workload, including prioritising multiple tasks to meet set deadlines in a busy and changeable work environment and maintaining an attention to detail at all times, even under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – good team player, happy liaising with colleagues at all levels of seniority and able to navigate cultural differences with ease. Experience of working with confidential information (e.g. payroll) and understands the importance of acting with discretion and diplomacy to maintain professional standards. Good IT skills, including experience across Microsoft Office and using company systems.
