Reactive Maintenance Supervisor / Manager
We are seeking a proactive and organised Reactive Maintenance Supervisor / Manager to join our team. This office-based role is pivotal in ensuring the efficient planning, scheduling, and reporting of all reactive maintenance activities. The successful candidate will act as the central point of coordination for maintenance operations, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively while maintaining a high standard of service delivery.
Reporting into Head of Operations
Key Responsibilities:
* Work Planning and Scheduling:
* Prioritise and schedule reactive maintenance jobs and tasks to ensure timely resolution of issues.
* A Focus on Reactive maintenance job maximisation to ensure maintenance targets are met.
* Allocate resources, including labour and materials, to meet project requirements.
* Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of maintenance activities.
* Monitoring and Reporting:
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, timelines, and costs.
* Prepare detailed reports on completed tasks, outstanding issues, and performance metrics.
* Analyse data to identify trends and recommend process improvements.
* Communication and Coordination:
* Act as the primary point of contact between clients, field engineers for all reactive maintenance related queries.
* Provide updates to Head of operations on the status of ongoing and upcoming maintenance tasks.
* Respond to urgent requests and adjust schedules as needed to address critical issues.
* Compliance and Standards:
* Ensure all reactive maintenance activities comply with company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards.
* Monitor quality of work and ensure it meets required specifications.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience:
* Proven experience in maintenance supervision, facilities management, or a related role.
* Familiarity with reactive maintenance processes and practices.
* Technical Skills:
* Proficient in using maintenance management software (e.g., SimPro systems – Preferred)
* Strong knowledge of scheduling tools and techniques.
* Basic understanding of reactive maintenance requirements.
* Organisational Skills:
* Exceptional ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Communication Skills:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills for liaising with internal divisions and senior management.
* Strong interpersonal skills to manage relationships with clients, contractors, engineers and team members.
* Analytical Skills:
* Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions.
* Experience in preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to senior management.
* Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in management, maintenance, or a related field (preferred).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
