Student Energy Coordinator, Sustainability - $8.00/hour
The Student Energy Coordinator is part of the core student team in the Sustainability Office. This position provides leadership to the office’s energy category focused on managing campus with a mindset for conservation and a focus on efficiency and renewable production.

Position Summary: The Student Energy Coordinator is required to work 8 hours per week during the academic year.
Experience Required: A basic understanding of sustainability is required, with some knowledge of the electricity sector.
Skills and Characteristics Required for Position:
* Demonstrated commitment to Sustainability
* Proficient in Microsoft Office – specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
* Demonstrated work ethic and ability to take initiative
Primary Duties:
1. Maintain Energy Report educational programming for apartment buildings on campus
2. Promote energy efficient living such as LED lighting and phantom load reduction
3. Work with the Oakes Museum to provide energy education to K-12 grade participants through the use of the solar cart
4. Develop further energy education for the campus community
5. Assist in energy tracking for campus wide sustainability reporting
6. Assist in grant writing to secure funds for energy related campus improvements or educational programs (such as EV Charging Stations)
7. Work with key partners on campus: Residence Life, Campus Facilities, Sustainability Committee, Information Technology
8. Maintain consistent and reliable attendance
Dress Code Requirements: Professional attire is not required, but sweats are not allowed.
Special Working Conditions: Keep consistent office hours in the Sustainability Office.
