Summary: We're looking for a Health and Safety Manager to improve our Health & Safety culture, meet business needs and legislative standards across two bakeries, and deliver health and safety strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monitor and review safety representatives & staff safety walks.
* Chair Health and Safety committees and provide Senior Managers with minutes and actions.
* Improve H & S management systems to improve culture within the business.
* Review risk assessments and safe working procedures.
* Review health and staff training.
* Complete scheduled H & S monitoring and formulating action plans.
* Arrange for calibration of H & S monitoring equipment.
* Ensure staff undergo annual health surveillance.
* Conduct site health and safety inspections.
* Ensure permits to work are issued in accordance with company policy.
* Review safety reports and complete accident / near miss incident root cause investigations.
Requirements:
* Technical or professional qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate.
* Proven track record of delivering HSE improvements.
* Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment.
* Experience in inspection / auditing management systems.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships.
* Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
