Senior Lecturer in SCPHN Occupational Health Nursing - 0.5FTE
The Division of Public Health, Sports and Wellbeing is seeking to appoint a Senior Lecturer with key responsibilities for teaching SCPHN (Occupational Health) nursing to commence as soon as reasonably possible in 2025.
This post offers you the opportunity to contribute to an innovative course that will be delivered as Distance Learning (Online) to occupational health students in England and Wales. As such, it will create an exciting opportunity to position the team as able to contribute to this vital staff development at a National Level. The post will also include opportunities to contribute to other courses in the Division, such as the Masters in Public Health, or courses in the wider Faculty.
You will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a Nurse or Midwife and on the SCPHN register as an Occupational Health Nurse. Ideally, you will have experience of teaching; however, this could also be an opportunity to transition from a specialist nursing role to a role in academia, and the Faculty provides a support structure for those new to teaching.
In addition to direct teaching, the role would involve supporting students and practice assessors/supervisors with the practice components and liaising with stakeholders to ensure clear communication and good governance. You will be supported by the course leader and wider team in these tasks.
Potential candidates are welcome to contact the Deputy Head of Division (Dr Jean Evers -j.evers@chester.ac.uk) to discuss the position.
We encourage applications from a diverse range of applicants.
