Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
A leading manufacturer in Burnley is eager to welcome a Maintenance Engineer to join their rapidly growing Engineering team. The successful applicant will be joining a company that is set to utilize their growth and invest back into their Engineering department. In the role of Maintenance Engineer.
Responsibilities
Maintenance Engineers support the production machinery including reactive troubleshooting and repair tasks, planned preventative maintenance, new installations, and refurbishments. This role would suit Maintenance Engineers who enjoy variation, working across a range of machinery and equipment, and are willing to apply themselves and learn.
You will be responsible for covering both proactive and reactive maintenance routines on facilities and production equipment in a timely manner, adhering to all health and safety requirements.
We would consider Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineers; however, in this multi-skilled environment, you must be willing to cover both electrical and mechanical work.
Skills required for the Maintenance Engineer:
1. Mechanical and electrical skills, with a bias on mechanical skills; Pneumatics & pipework
2. You will need to hold one of the following qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3, apprentice trained, etc.
3. Direct experience as a mechanical maintenance engineer
4. Copper and metal pipework experience - with some plumbing experience required.
5. Planned and reactive maintenance experience
6. To ensure maximum machine availability through effective planned preventative maintenance schedules.
7. Together with other plant engineers and team leaders, actively strive to ensure that your time is oriented towards achieving machine maintenance hours on planned work
8. Installation of machinery and site services equipment.
9. Proactive work attitude and keen to get your hands dirty.
10. Open to any background including forces.
