Job Summary
Based on our customer site at Airbus (Broughton, North Wales, UK), the Electrical Maintenance Technician is an important part of the Reel UK team, our main stream activity being the service of electrical and automated equipment for the transport of the wings throughout the production site, indoor and outdoor.
Applicants should be highly-skilled and self-motivated and will be interested in developing their knowledge of test electrical equipment and systems.
We strive to ensure our team have high standards with a focus on quality and efficiency. This role will help maintain our electrical equipment and systems service to ensure accuracy within installations and continue to support agreed specifications and standards.
Duties
1. Apply electrical and mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues and perform repairs
2. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to solve problems and seek improvement
3. Utilize skills in electrical engineering codes and apply safety standards
4. Provide excellent customer service while addressing technical concerns
5. Conduct routine maintenance to ensure optimal functionality of electrical systems
Experience
1. Proven experience as an Electrical Engineer with 18th Edition qualification and experience of working with various voltages from 24vdc to 415vac
2. Proficiency in electrical systems and equipment maintenance
3. Strong mechanical knowledge to complement electrical skills
4. A knowledge and understanding of control systems
5. Hands-on experience in hardware and software; previous use of SAP or equivalent (assets, PPM and spares management) desirable.
6. Knowledge of the electrical manufacturing process
7. Customer service skills to effectively communicate technical information
8. Experience in maintaining electrical systems to prevent downtime
