About the role This exciting market and customer insight focused role sits within the Academic product group, which publishes books and journals and supports learning, teaching and research across higher education under the Cambridge University Press brand. Our insights cover all our customer personas from students to librarians, researchers to authors and learned society partners. As Insight Executive, you will:
* deliver qualitative and quantitative customer insight such as surveys and online panel activities by creating questions, analysing results, and compiling reports.
* conduct desk research on market trends and competitors and help to deliver actionable insights to inform the Academic strategy at a time of major changes in market dynamics.
* share insights across the Academic product group to drive understanding of customer needs and ensure the customer is at the heart of decision-making.
* work across a range of projects including working with agencies and freelancers and supporting the successful running of our customer advisory board events and focus groups, as well as supporting the Insight team.
About you
* You are a collaborative individual with some experience of insight or market research, either as part of a role or as primary role focus.
* You have great organisational skills, and can prioritise and manage multiple projects, with support of your manager.
* You are committed to developing your knowledge and expertise, seeking out challenges and opportunities to improve your skills, share ideas and drive innovation.
* You will have good communication skills including communicating findings in engaging formats that create stories from data and insights.
* You will be comfortable working with multiple teams, interacting with both internal and external stakeholders, through various digital channels as well as face to face.
* You will have experience of basic analysis and categorising of data, creating graphs, charts, tables and visuals to find trends and showcase results, and are an experienced user of Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
