Working as part of our Building Services team in the Defence sector, we are looking for a Graduate CAD Technician to join our team at Northwood HQ, with regular travel to our other team at the Ministry of Defence Main Building in Whitehall, London.
Security Clearance: As an MoD site, successful candidates will have to pass high security clearance (SC). In order to pass, both UK and non-UK subjects must have lived in the UK for a minimum of 5 years.
What you'll do:
* Produce detailed Mechanical & Electrical drawings within Building Services ensuring all drawing information is relevant and accessible to project teams and other stakeholders.
* Work closely with project teams to support them in asset capture and other technical information changes related to drawings.
* Learn the different disciplines within the building services industry and develop your AutoCAD skills.
* Help maintain and keep the technical libraries and associated documents up to date.
* Audit monthly to ensure current and relevant information is available.
* Record and update the work log data sheet ensuring KPI’s are completed on time.
* Undertake site surveys and take measurements using different methods to obtain information to enable accurate drawings to be produced.
* Understand written and verbal instructions.
* Able to interpret basic technical drawings.
What you'll bring to the role:
* Studying towards (in your final year) or having completed a degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, an Architectural-based course or a relevant subject.
* Excellent communications skills and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical skills to interpret project data and drive informed decisions.
