As a Paraplanner, you will play a vital role in supporting the Independent Financial Advisors and the current Paraplanner. Your responsibilities will include preparing and maintaining client files, collaborating with advisers to understand client objectives, and ensuring all compliance and regulatory documentation is accurate and up to date. You will also conduct research, provide comparisons, and draft recommendations for advisers, helping to implement those recommendations by preparing reports, adjusting investments, and assisting with applications. Additionally, you will liaise with clients and third parties, organizing meetings, preparing reports, and tracking progress, while providing general admin support and assisting with staff training. To be considered for this role, you will need at least 12 months of experience in a paraplanner role, along with prior admin experience. Familiarity with financial planning software is essential, and proficiency in MS Office, strong typing skills, and excellent written English are required. You should be numerate, adaptable, and organised, with the ability to manage a dynamic workload and communicate confidently. Desirable skills include knowledge of Intelligent Office (IO), CashCalc, and FE Analytics, as well as being Level 4 qualified in financial services. In return, the role offers a starting salary from £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience), with salary progression as you gain more experience and qualifications.
