Role
Fair Deal is a social care organisation based in Glasgow recruiting a Team Leader to work in the Glasgow area. We are passionate about providing the people we support with the opportunity to live as independently as possible with greater choice and control.
The Team Leader role will manage and develop highly individualised support services, providing positive leadership and line management to ensure the delivery of high-quality support by staff in line with individual needs, agreed outcomes, aspirations, and individual budgets. The role will maintain direct contact and involvement with the people we support and will involve the management of staff resources and budgets.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum SVQ 3 in Social Services and Healthcare
* Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Social Care environment
* SSSC Registration
* Experience in supporting and developing relationships with clients and families
* Experience in liaising with social work departments and community organisations
* Line Management Experience in a Social Care Environment (desirable)
* Excellent leadership and organisational skills with an ability to delegate effectively
* Excellent Microsoft knowledge
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to motivate both individuals and a team
* Commitment to the ethos and values of Fair Deal
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements affecting care organisations
* Willingness to occasionally work out with office hours to meet organisational needs
* Full Driving licence and access to own car for business purposes (desirable)
Duties:
* To oversee the day-to-day running of the designated services
* To manage, supervise and support onsite staff
* To lead on service provision and service development
* To manage learning and development of staff
* To maintain effective communication within the team and with all relevant stakeholders
You will be required to provide on-call cover at evenings and weekends.

* Glasgow: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:

Licence/Certification:
* SVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (required)

Main Responsibilities
* To support individuals with all identified areas in their support plan
* To support individuals in areas of their lives including relationships, employment, appointments, education, and social activities
* To support individuals to understand and fulfil their rights and responsibilities in all aspects of their lives
* To support individuals when engaging with external agencies and third parties as an advocate
* To support and promote healthy eating
* To encourage and support individuals to maintain or develop a full, inclusive social life
* To provide emotional support to individuals in challenging times
* To support people with intimate self-care tasks and encourage individuals towards greater self-sufficiency in these areas
* To support individuals to effectively manage any behavioural challenges they may present
* To provide support allowing individuals to manage their own finances and medication
The main responsibilities are listed above; however, this list is not exhaustive, and the employee would be expected to perform any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with your main duties. Employees will be expected to apply for and maintain their Registration with the SSSC at the appropriate time, as specified by the SSSC, and to ensure they comply with the SSSC Code of Conduct.

Please note the post is for permanent night shift; however, there is an expectation that the post holder will be available for some initial training in daytime hours for the first few weeks in post. There may be a requirement beyond this for occasional daytime training courses planned in advance.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Cornerstone as our Head of Finance on a full-time, permanent basis.
Reporting to our Director of Finance, you will be responsible for the management and development of our Finance function, ensuring the provision of accurate, reliable, and timely financial information and analysis to support our organisation in its activities. This is a varied role that encompasses many aspects within our Finance department.
Location
This role can be based in any of our main offices (Aberdeen, Dundee, or Glasgow), or part of our hybrid working model. If opting for hybrid, we would need you to live within a reasonable commute of Aberdeen, Dundee, or Glasgow. There will be occasions that we'll need you to travel to other Cornerstone branch locations (travel expenses will be reimbursed as set out in Cornerstone’s expense policy with travel reimbursed by HMRC legislation).
The Role
As a member of our Senior Leadership Team, you'll contribute to the delivery of Cornerstone's strategic, operational, and departmental plans.
You'll assist our Director of Finance to establish and maintain effective financial management and business support to ensure that appropriate financial policies and management information systems are in place to guarantee ongoing stability and growth.
Providing an accounting service to all departments and areas within Cornerstone, you'll combine your accounting skills with effective financial management to provide concise communications to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
You'll have responsibility for the preparation of monthly financial reporting and monthly written reports analysing performance and mitigation steps where necessary. You'll also support the preparation of annual budgets, monitoring reports, forecasts, and annual accounts.

About You
What we'll need you to bring:
* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
* Recognised chartered accountancy CCAB qualification
* Knowledge and experience of the legal and charitable framework
* Experience of leading, developing, and managing a Finance team to deliver high quality and service within a similar type or size of organisation
* Proven experience in the development and maintenance of financial controls, policies, and procedures
* Good analytical and evaluation skills with the ability to understand and carry out complex numerical and financial calculations and analyse data
* The ability to transfer strategy into operational and departmental work plans
* Meticulous attention to detail
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan and organise work
* Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and simultaneously managing several initiatives
* The ability to identify quality processes and procedures with the ability to communicate these clearly verbally and in writing
