Registered Children's Home Manager (3 Bed LD Service)
Location: Coalville
Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependent upon experience) plus performance-related bonus of up to £4,800 per annum
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm with on-call responsibilities out of hours
Home Details: 3 Bed Home, Ofsted GOOD, Learning Disabilities. 1 young person, full staff team and very settled home.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Home Manager to lead our 3-bed Learning Disabilities service in Coalville. The successful candidate will ensure high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations while fostering a supportive and settled environment for our young person and staff team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership and Management:
o Provide effective leadership and management to the home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with Ofsted regulations.
o Manage and support the staff team, ensuring they are motivated and well-trained.
o Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
2. Compliance and Standards:
o Ensure the home meets all regulatory requirements and standards.
o Maintain the home’s Ofsted GOOD rating and strive for continuous improvement.
3. Care and Support:
o Advocate for the young person and ensure their needs are met.
o Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of the young person.
o Foster a sense of belonging and stability within the home.
4. Operational Management:
o Manage budgets and resources effectively.
o Ensure the home is well-maintained and all health and safety regulations are met.
o Participate in on-call duties as required.
5. Development and Expansion:
o Support the planning and development of a new home next door.
o Be willing to take on dual registration responsibilities if needed.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Level 5 Management Diploma
2. Experience in managing a residential care home, preferably with a focus on learning disabilities
3. Strong leadership and management skills
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable:
1. Experience with dual registration
2. Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and standards
