About the role Our team combines experts in Materials Testing, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and Metrology, all working collaboratively to deliver high precision results. We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate Testing Technician. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start their career in the field of mechanical testing and materials analysis. What youll be doing Perform mechanical testing (e.g., tensile, compression, Shear etc.) on composite materials. Set up and operate testing machines and equipment according to standard procedures. Record and analyse test data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. Assist in preparing test specimens and samples. Maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and maintenance schedules. Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment. Collaborate with technicians, engineers and project managers to support ongoing projects and development work. So, what are we looking for A minimum of A level in a scientific subject (maths, physics, chemistry, computer science etc); relevant technical training or coursework is a plus. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and analysing data. Basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical testing procedures is a plus, but full training will be provided. Ability to follow written instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Proficient in basic maths and measurement techniques. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic computer skills.
