Salary: £46,426 – £54,759 dependent on skills and experience What you’ll bedoing:
* Definingand carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and toyour team members as part of the Advanced Aerostructures group,working on a range of modern military airplatforms
Review,checking and approving work done by less experiencedcolleagues Mentoringand developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team’sknowledge, skill and experience across the Structuresdiscipline. Ensuringeffective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers andothers, to develop efficient and effective working practices, andresolving issues as they arise to maintain thiseffectiveness Carryingout analysis of structure fatigue and damage tolerance calculationsusing a variety of software applications, to demonstrate that thestructural design meets relevant certification and projectrequirements Assessingthe F&DT implications of modifications and repairs toin-service aircraft
Your skills andexperiences:
* You willhave a STEM-related degree or relevant aerospace engineeringexperience
Familiaritywith structural fatigue and fracture mechanics, dynamics, vibrationand acoustic effects analysismethods Goodunderstanding of classical structural analysis techniques andmethods Experiencein using and applying of structural analysis tools such as Nastranetc, and output data processingtechniques You willhave experience of leading engineers in developing and deliveringsatisfactory customeroutcomes Demonstrable experience of Aircraft StructuralEngineering, and the application of F&DTanalysis
