FAMILY (CARE) SOLICITOR - NEWCASTLE
A distinguished full-service law firm is expanding its dynamic safeguarding team. With offices nestled in the heart of Newcastle city centre and Wallsend Town centre, the firm offers an exceptional work environment and a commitment to professional growth. The firm is currently seeking a dedicated Solicitor to join the Safeguarding Child Care Team at the Wallsend office, specialising in Public and Private Children Law.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide comprehensive and accurate legal advice and guidance to clients.
2. Handle a diverse range of clients and manage your own caseload.
3. Assist the team's Partner and other fee earners with various family matters.
4. Undertake work in both public and private children matters, including non-molestation orders and other injunction matters.
5. Conduct advocacy before the Magistrates, District, and Circuit Benches.
6. Advise and assist clients with the PLO process and represent clients at meetings with social services.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Qualified solicitor or experienced fee earner with expertise in both public and private Children Law.
2. Ability to balance client demands and non-casework responsibilities.
3. Team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Proven track record of providing high-quality legal advice and achieving positive client outcomes.
5. Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively.
6. Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and case law.
7. Commitment to continuing competence through identifying and addressing learning needs.
8. Willingness to engage in business development activities.
