Geotechnical Engineer \n\nA new contract role has become available for a Geotechnical Engineer in the Manchester area. Our client is looking for somebody to join to work on the design of shafts, below ground storage tanks and directional drilling.\n\nRole and Responsibilities\n\nDeliver design outputs that meet all safety and quality standards.\nPrepare comprehensive design calculations and technical drawings.\nLead, mentor, and support CAD technicians, junior designers, and graduate engineers.\nConduct design investigations and produce detailed reports and specifications.\nEnsure all designs adhere to applicable technical, professional, and organisational standards.\nManage and document any design changes within the project scope.\nExecute tasks following established processes and procedures.\nProvide accurate estimates for design package hours.\nParticipate in and present at IDC/KM7 meetings and other design review sessions. \n\nRequirements\n\nSignificant experience in geotechnical design for UK based projects\nStrong understanding of GI specifications and interpretive and design reports\nDegree in Geotechnical Engineering, or equivalent\nExperience of infrastructure projects (water, rail, nuclear, highways or energy)\nIdeally chartered, but consideration will be given to those with significant industry experience \n\nSalary & Benefits\n\n12 month contract\nOutside IR35\n£400 per day \n\nFor information about this position or any others within the Civil and Structural Engineering design market please contact Sean Brown.\n\nPlease note to be considered for the role, you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements.\n\nWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity in our company.
