This role is subject to:
1. 2 References - Where possible we require 3 years' employment history.
2. Qualification - Social Work Qualification and registration with Social Work England.
3. Medical Clearance - Pre-placement health assessment (PPHA).
4. Casual Car Documentation - The successful candidate will be a designated Casual Car User which means that car journeys may be necessary on an occasional basis, but are not essential to the role. If you do drive, you must always hold a full valid driving licence and provide your own car for use at work, as well as provide all the appropriate documentation. You will receive an allowance per mile of business use.
5. Driving Licence - The successful candidate should hold a full clean driving licence as you will be required to drive a vehicle adhering to council regulations.
6. DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) Clearance - This post is covered by the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (amended in 2013). Appointable candidates will be required to apply for an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
The Adult Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of our most vulnerable residents. It is a service that brings together the core public agencies with responsibilities for safeguarding individuals. The MASH enables agencies to share information and make joint decisions, in a timely manner, to protect individuals who are at risk of harm and abuse. The MASH works collaboratively to enable a coordinated response to ensure that the most appropriate service is identified to best meet the needs of the individual.
The Operations Manager Of The MASH Will:
* Provide leadership for the whole of MASH team
* Ensure new starters receive a good quality and holistic induction
* Provide day to day management of the staff and operations of the MASH
* Be responsible for final decision making, and escalation to service manager where required
* Ensure effective partnership working between the core agencies in the MASH
* Ensure engagement with wider agencies
* Provide oversight of the training and development needs of the MASH team
* Provide professional supervision to Senior Social Workers
* Ensure quality assurance mechanisms are in place and that the work of the MASH team is quality assured, responding to or escalating if concerns/risks are observed

Essential requirements for the role:
* Social Work Qualification and be registered with Social Work England
* An excellent working knowledge, significant understanding of the Care Act (in particular provisions relating to Safeguarding Adults) and associated legislation and policy including Making Safeguarding Personal.
* Significant post qualification experience in Safeguarding Adults, and of social care management role, along with experience of working with complex families
* Willing to consent to & apply for an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check
* Willingness to work outside of standard office hours as required
