We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Groundworks Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our groundworks projects. This role involves managing site teams, coordinating with project stakeholders, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing groundworks packages on residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects, with a firm grasp of site logistics, programme management, and health & safety.
Groundworks Manager Key Responsibilities:

Manage the delivery of groundworks packages including site clearance, foundations, drainage, roads, sewers, and external works.

Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and plant/equipment resources.
*
Ensure all site works are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
*
Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality control and health & safety compliance.
*
Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to resolve any site issues quickly and effectively.
*
Monitor materials, labour, and equipment usage.
*
Maintain accurate daily records and site reporting.
Requirements:
*
Proven experience as a Groundworks Manager or Site Manager within civil engineering or construction.
*
Strong knowledge of groundworks operations including drainage, concrete, roads, and utilities.

SSSTS or SMSTS – Essential
*
First Aid at Work – Essential
*
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
*
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
*
Full UK Driving Licence – Essential
