The Company
My client is a leading supplier of survey equipment and construction engineering products & services used by engineering professionals on construction, civil engineering, infrastructure and rail projects nationwide.
The Sales Manager Role
They are looking for Sales Managers with experience selling products directly to construction and civil engineering contractors, such as Survey Equipment, Plant Hire, Machinery.
You will be responsible for maximising rental, sales, service and support revenue opportunities for a number of targeted, specific, named accounts. You will also be responsible for all other sales opportunities within the region, including competition accounts and incoming leads.
Take responsibility for managing a number of existing core named accounts within a given territory.
Effective and consistent account management to develop & maintain sales and rental turnover, whilst generating profit
Responsible for continued expansion among existing accounts and identifying new targets customers and submarkets within the region
A focus on generating solution sales revenue from new and competition customers within the region.
Develop positive relationships with customers at all levels, building multiple touchpoints to ensure a longstanding relationship with the customers business
Focus on ensuring we maintain excellent customer service levels and strategic insight
Promote the companys technical expertise and ensure differentiation from competitors via promotion of product and service USPs
Collaborate with all key internal stakeholders to maximize market share and to fulfil customers needs
Assist the internal sales and business development departments to ensure effective bidirectional flow of information
Generating new sales using existing and potential customer networks
Work with technical support to ensure customer training and support requirements are met
Assist in developing and maintaining CRM system
Adhere to established processes and workflows and provide input on new processes and workflows as needed to meet customer requirements and business needs
The Successful Sales Manager
Proven experience in working in the UK construction/surveying market
To continually develop their own attitudes, knowledge and skills required to carry out their role
Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic
Excellent account management skills including the ability to identify and manage wider opportunities with key customers
Knowledge of a wide range of surveying/engineering equipment with an understanding of the users of such equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface at all levels and functions Entrepreneurial drive and strong work ethic
Strong sense of urgency, responsibility and accountability
Willingness to business travel
