About This Role
Job Title: SEND Teacher
Location: Chester
Salary: £140-£220 a day dependent on experience
Leader Education are looking for a SEND Teacher to join an all-through Special School in the Chester Area. You will be working at a school that supports children with Severe Learning Difficulties. You will be responsible for teaching a class based on ability rather than age and will follow a carefully planned curriculum focused on life skills rather than the national curriculum. You will have a strong understanding of EHCPs and be able to plan your lessons appropriately while effectively utilizing the support of Teaching Assistants in the classroom. This is a 360 role, so you will be required to cover all aspects of the Teacher role. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm position.
Role Requirements
This role requires you to have a Teaching Qualification alongside QTS. ECTs will be considered for this role as long as you have a strong background in SEND. You will be a specialist in working with SEND and have a strong understanding of adapting lessons to meet EHCP targets. Above all else, you will be dedicated to getting the best out of your class and helping them progress in all areas of their development.
