Duties
1. Responsible for supporting the estimating team.
2. Responsible for preparing and issuing package enquiries to subcontractors.
3. Analysing quotations from subcontractors.
4. Updating and monitoring a Tender event schedule.
5. Attending package workshops and internal team meetings.
6. Inputting, monitoring, and updating the package analysis information from package comparisons.
7. Preparation of tenders.
8. Attending and presenting at tender adjudications.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills including presentation.
3. Effective written communication and report-writing ability.
4. A sense of ethical responsibility.
5. A good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to learn how to use specialist software.
6. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
7. Good risk management identification and mitigation experience.
8. Always looking to develop and improve the way in which tasks can be completed effectively.
9. Taking responsibility for given tasks.
10. Willingness to put maximum effort into the completion of tasks.

As an Assistant Estimator, you can expect to receive a competitive basic salary of up to £40,000.
