About the Opportunity:
We are currently seeking a talented Project Manager to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting a key client in the UK's nuclear energy sector.
As part of our Project Management Resource team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals who will support and mentor you as you develop and expand your project management, business development, and leadership skills. This role will primarily focus on supporting projects within the nuclear fleet in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects, in alignment with company policies and procedures, and achieving established goals and objectives within agreed baselines.
2. Develop and execute project execution strategies in collaboration with the client and utilise cross-functional project teams to ensure safe project delivery.
3. Based at a Power Station, with occasional travel to other sites/stations across the UK. Flexible working arrangements may be possible, with a predominant focus on the Power Station.
4. Directly report to the Operations Manager at Jacobs, while being accountable for project delivery to the client.
Qualifications:
1. APMP formal project management qualification or equivalent.
2. Proficiency in modern project management techniques within complex, multi-functional organisations.
3. Thorough understanding and knowledge of engineering, design, procurement, safety case, construction, installation/commissioning management, and commercial contracting.
4. Familiarity with Safety Cases, relevant Health and Safety and Environment legislation, and compliance requirements.
5. Demonstrable experience in managing projects throughout the full project lifecycle, ideally across complex multi-discipline projects and environments.
6. Experience in estimating, cost control, planning, and commercial awareness, including the preparation of business cases and funding papers.
7. Previous experience working in Power Stations and Nuclear Licensed Sites would be advantageous.
