Sedgemoor Manor is a specialist day school for young people who have needs associated with a diagnosis on the autistic spectrum/SPLD and are aged between 10 and 18 years. Our tailored approach means we are able to support young people with a wide range of learning difficulties. We accept that young people who are referred to us may have previously experienced a ‘cycle of failure’ and our aim is to have a transformational impact on their lives by them experiencing a ‘culture of success’. We support all young people to achieve successful outcomes so that they can progress to experience fulfilling and rewarding lives. We offer bespoke packages of education and therapy for our young people. We strongly believe that some individuals will always struggle to ‘fit in’ to existing structures and will only thrive when their provision is tailored to their specific needs and circumstances. We warmly welcome our students into our community, which is underpinned by a culture of outstanding relationships, nurture and unconditional high regard.
Catering experience would be advantageous but is not essential. The role holder would support our Chef to prepare the lunch service for our young people and staff team, maintain the dining room and help clear away. We are looking for someone who will interact well with our young people and can create interesting visual displays giving information about food, nutrition, culture, and traditions. We would like our successful candidate to be engaging and add an element of creativity and fun to our young people's lunch time experience.
Above all, we provide a supportive and collaborative working environment where you can flourish in your career and feel incredibly rewarded by helping those who need it most.
