We are seeking a Quality Manager to take responsibility for all aspects of quality management within our factory. Position type: Full time, permanent Hours: 37.5 per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 Leadership & Team Management: Spearhead and manage the Quality Team to ensure completion of intake, process, and packing checks. Provide coaching, support, and development to team members, closing skill gaps through tailored training plans. Drive a strong quality culture within QA and operational teams through effective communication and leadership. Quality Compliance & Improvement: Maintain and improve GMP standards via auditing, coaching, and root cause analysis. Ensure product specifications and manufacturing procedures meet GMP and customer standards. Manage internal and external audits, ensuring all non-conformances are resolved with robust corrective actions. Maintain site allergen management programs and oversee intake schedules for raw material testing. Customer and Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and auditors to uphold quality standards. Lead site visits and audits, ensuring alignment with customer standards (e.g., COPs). Support NPD trials and launches, acting as a liaison between NPD and factory teams. Health, Safety, and Environment: Ensure adherence to HSE standards for both products and team members, supporting site improvement actions and targets. Work with hygiene and operational teams to verify cleaning processes routinely. Continuous Improvement: Manage quality communication boards, keeping the team informed on updates and site news. Investigate complaints thoroughly and ensure preventative actions are implemented effectively. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP (or willingness to progress to Level 4). Internal auditing experience or qualifications. Supervisory or team leadership experience within a quality role in food manufacturing. Strong communication, leadership, and coaching skills. Knowledge of pest control and customer requirements for key accounts (e.g., M&S, Tesco, Sainsbury’s). Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Proven ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines, and resolve root causes of quality issues. Desirable Skills and Qualifications: Taste panel coordination. Level 3 Health and Safety qualification. Experience in customer-specific training (e.g., M&S, Tesco). Train the Trainer certification.
