The on-site location for this role is at our Packing Hall and Distribution Centre 'Alpha', in St. Neots, Cambridgeshire.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Ensure compliance with the latest BRC Food Safety Standard, manage risks, and lead food safety initiatives, including HACCP and allergen management.
2. Develop and guide the two Quality Technicians, providing clear plans while embedding ownership of food safety and quality.
3. Drive improvement by leading technical audits, resolving incidents, investigating complaints, and implementing preventative measures.
4. Oversee and enhance the Quality Management System, support operational projects, and ensure successful commissioning of new equipment.
5. Track non-conformance trends, report on KPIs, and deliver relevant updates to support continuous improvement.
6. Comprehensive understanding of the latest BRC Food Safety Standards, along with knowledge of UK food law, legislation, and regulations.
7. Proven ability to make clear, timely assessments and decisions with a proactive, can-do attitude.
8. Internal auditing experience, demonstrating excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
9. Level 3 certification in Food Safety & HACCP.
10. Awareness and practical experience in TACCP (Threat Assessment and Critical Control Points).
Desirable:
1. Training experience.
2. Knowledge and experience in producing chocolate and confectionary products.
3. Certification in Food Safety & HACCP Level 4.
