Track Supervisor | Derby - with site travel | £31,000 (Overtime available)
Are you an experienced professional in railway track maintenance looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for a Track Supervisor to join a reputable engineering services company based in Derby, specialising in railway track maintenance and related civil engineering solutions.
The Opportunity:
As a Track Supervisor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and compliance of railway track maintenance operations. This is a hands-on leadership position where you will oversee a skilled team, plan and execute maintenance activities, and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Track Maintenance & Inspection: Supervise and perform regular inspections and maintenance of railway tracks.
2. Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and coordinate teams to ensure effective delivery of services.
3. Compliance & Safety: Ensure all work meets industry regulations and safety standards.
4. Planning & Reporting: Organise daily tasks and provide clear reporting on progress and issues.
5. Emergency Response: Act promptly to address any unexpected incidents or challenges.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to meet project objectives.
Working Practices:
* Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts with some 12-hour shifts as required.
* Overtime available, including weekends (paid at enhanced rates).
* Travel to client sites as needed.
Essential Criteria:
* Extensive experience in track maintenance.
* PTS (Personal Track Safety) and COSS (Controller of Site Safety).
* A full UK driving license is essential.
