Paramount Personnel are recruiting for a talented Commis Chef, looking to take their next step in their career. Our client are seeking a hungry and ambitious individual, looking to progress their career into the kitchen. The personality and fit within the team are key, and are open to candidates who fit the right mould for the team, who can be taught.
The main role and responsibilities of a Commis Chef are:
5. Maintain kitchen area and equipment, ensuring your station and utensils are in a hygienic condition at all times.
6. Ensure deliveries are stored in the correct locations whilst in a timely manner.
7. Deliver a speedy service whilst ensuring the quality and presentation of food.
8. Consider portion control to minimise waste whilst preparing dishes.
9. Understand and comply with company policy on HASAWA, HACCP level 2 food safety, fire precautions, legal requirements, and perform any other tasks that may be required from time to time.
10. Establish relationships with kitchen staff and those assisting in the delivery of service to customers.
11. Complete any training or qualifications required by the company.
As a commis chef, you will be looking after your own section within the kitchen and have a passion for fresh ingredients and a good eye for detail.

Working alongside a talented head chef, the commis chef will be able to work well as part of a team and also individually, to look after their designated area.
