Job Description
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to provide vital support to the CEO and ensure seamless administrative operations. This role includes managing schedules, coordinating meetings, preparing reports, and promoting compliance with organisational policies. You'll also take charge of event planning, executive projects, and team technology support.
Key tasks include handling correspondence, drafting documents, assisting with procurement, and maintaining records in line with the State Records Act 2000. Strong organisational, communication, and multitasking skills are essential, as is experience in executive support and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

* Experience as an Executive Assistant preferred or qualification in administration or business.
* Working knowledge of local government administration and knowledge of electronic records management.
* High level of honesty and integrity with experience in handling confidential information.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills required for liaising with the Chief Executive Officer, Councillors, Council staff, and members of the public.
* Knowledge of agenda and minutes management.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with information of a sensitive nature.
* Flexibility to work outside ordinary business hours as required to assist with meetings, including those of Council, Council-appointed committees, and other meetings and functions.
