Senior Quantity Surveyor | Manchester, Leeds or York (hybrid) | £300 - £575 per day (UMB)
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with extensive civils experience?
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Balance risk, opportunity, and financial returns in both pre- and post- contract commercial management.
2. Focus on delivery excellence and in-year performance (revenue, cash, and EBIT) as well as supporting growth in the market.
3. Preparation and negotiation of subcontract/subconsultant contract documents.
4. Develop monthly PSR (CVR) and associated commercial reports such as Earned Value Management (EVM).
5. Shape and deliver the commercial strategy on projects to maximise revenue and cash flow.
6. Influence change control, management of claims and disputes and provide clear and concise updates to project leads.
7. Interpret contract programmes and schedules to identify associated risks and opportunities.
8. Proactively engage and advise project teams on commercial risks and opportunities, including regular visibility across offices and sites, where teams are based.
9. Promote compliance with the Company Management System (CMS) and all company procedures, uphold company values and promote safety culture.
10. Contribute to wider market and divisional requirements as they arise.
11. Manage expectations of stakeholders and conflicting business priorities, whilst delivering to challenging deadlines.
Candidate Essentials
1. Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management
2. Highly skilled in contract management and change control.
3. Extensive NEC contract experience
4. Demonstrable experience in managing others in commercial or project teams.
5. Able to commute to any of the above locations 2-3 days per week
