Job Title: Social Worker (Children)
Location: Bradford
Working Hours: Hybrid
Rate: £40 per hour
Liquid Personnel are currently recruiting for an experienced Qualified Social Worker to join a busy team in Bradford based within the Children in Care team.
Responsibilities:
1. Undertake preventative work to address safeguarding concerns, investigate significant harm, and use legislation to promote the welfare of service users.
2. Provide comprehensive social work services to individuals, families, and carers, integrating theoretical approaches with practical application.
3. Manage a complex caseload, making critical decisions, ensuring that casework is well-planned, evaluated, and reviewed.
4. Engage with multi-agency inputs, handle complex family dynamics, and address multiple risk factors while considering the public interest.
5. Ensure appropriate care for service users, utilizing mainstream and specialist resources innovatively.
6. Supervise service users receiving care services, conduct expert reviews, and provide expert witness testimony in court.
7. Collaborate with various agencies and organizations, representing our organization and influencing outcomes in case planning and decision-making.
8. Contribute to multi-disciplinary assessments, lead meetings, and promote information sharing.
9. Mentor newly qualified and less experienced social workers, supporting their development and offering placements to social work students as a practice educator.
10. Manage your workload, seek support when necessary, and stay informed about emerging best practices.
11. Participate in departmental training, develop new resources, and get involved in specialist projects.
12. Engage in continuous professional development, regular supervision, and appraisal, adhering to Social Work registration and HCPC standards.
13. Apply ethical principles and values, maintain accurate records, and produce high-quality assessments.
14. Act in accordance with departmental priorities and policies, promoting equality and working in an anti-oppressive manner.
