Morris Lubricants are one of the largest manufacturers of lubricants in Europe, delivering products on an international scale. They are currently looking to expand their internal IT function with an IT Support Apprentice. Reporting to the Group IT Manager, you will be providing IT support to the business users, working with the IT Support & Network Administrator and Group IT Manager to provide a high level of customer service to the business users. This is a diverse role covering many aspects of IT across the different divisions. Whilst the role is based at our head office in Shrewsbury, on occasions you may be required to travel to our other sites. Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of: Provide proactive face-to-face, phone and email IT support to all users. Ensure jobs are logged, diagnosed and resolved efficiently in line with business priorities, escalating issues where appropriate to the Group IT Manager. Setting up of IT equipment including but not limited to desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones and peripheral devices. Managing user access to systems including access approval forms, creating and deleting of users, setting access permissions and administering passwords. Assist with installation, configuration, upgrades and maintenance of business systems including operating systems, networks, applications, hardware and peripheral devices. Qualifications: Preferred GCSE level 7 or above in Computing/ICT or equivalent Skills Preferred: Good knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office and Office 365. Self-motivated with the ability to work as part of the IT team or alone when required. Successful candidates will be: Responsible and trustworthy. Strong communicators and happy working in a team Adaptable and flexible in approach. Able to travel and a full UK driving licence. Keen learners, interested in further developing their IT skills not Entry Requirements: 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4 (A-C) in any subject GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3 (D or above) Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
