Wyldewoods Retirement Village in Chester is excited to be on the lookout for a dedicated Resident & Wellbeing Coordinator to our team. This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in shaping our brand-new community from the ground up.
As a Resident & Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in creating and maintaining a supportive environment for our residents. You will work a combination of day and night shifts on a full-time, rolling six-week rota. Your shifts will be:
* 2 x Night Shifts per week (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
* 1 x Late Shift per week (12:00 PM – 8:00 PM)
Due to the nature of our rota, flexibility is essential, as your days of work will vary each week and may include weekend work. The hourly pay for this role is £13.50.
As a Resident and Wellbeing Co-ordinator, your responsibilities will include:
* Responding to emergency calls within the Village and delivering first aid where needed
* Promoting the health and wellbeing of older people living within the Village and to help maintain independence and safety for residents
* Carrying out wellbeing assessments for residents and enhancing the current wellbeing service
* Support monitoring of the emergency call system
* Signposting to healthcare professionals e.g., GP / primary care services
* Providing information and awareness sessions about key health issues
* Helping to set up wellbeing focus groups to meet up on a monthly basis where appropriate
* To ensure all aspects of Health and Safety in your location adhere to RVG’s Health and Safety policies and requirements
* Documenting interactions with residents thoroughly and ensuring they are accurately recorded
Requirements
While the following experience and qualifications are beneficial, they are not essential, what matters most is your passion for supporting others and your willingness to learn.
* Experience working with older people
* Experience or knowledge of primary care and referral to primary care
* Ability to analyse risk and respond appropriately, seeking support as necessary
* Ideally emergency first aid qualified - training can be provided
* Full understanding of supporting a resident in an emergency situation and supporting until emergency services arrive
* Experience in providing wellbeing advice
