Maintenance Engineer
Dudley
£38,000 - £42,000 (dependant on electrical knowledge)
Week 1: 6am - 3pm
Week 2: 9am - 6pm
42.5 hours a week
The Company:
Due to recent investment, the company has recently been taken over by a well-known corporation which has invested substantially into site improvements, including a £200,000 investment into building brand new control panels and machinery. They are now looking for an experienced maintenance engineer (either bias) who can think on their own two feet and isn’t shy to face a breakdown and deal with it. Ideally, you will be able to weld (Mig) and have some basic electrical knowledge, i.e., work with 3-phase motors. There is a chance to step up in a couple of years to become maintenance manager when the current one retires.

Experience required for the Maintenance Engineer:
* At least 3 years’ experience repairing and maintaining special purpose plant machinery as an electrically or mechanically biased maintenance engineer
* Mechanically strong, able to change bearings, straps, belts, chains, and perform heavy change like-for-like parts, move machinery around, stripping, fabricating, etc.
* Electrical experience is desirable and would command a higher salary
* Experience with Mig welding is advantageous
* Experience in FMCG/Food/Metals/Recycling/Automation/Foundry/Brick/Aerospace
* Commutable from Birmingham, Walsall, Wolverhampton, West Bromwich, Dudley
