Bristol Brunel Academy are currently seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Cover Supervisor to join their supportive and talented team.
As Cover Supervisor you will supervise whole classes and/or small groups during the short term absence of the timetabled class teacher, whether planned or un-planned absence. Ensuring students carry out the curriculum tasks set by the absent teacher, assisting them to understand the nature of the work set, managing student behaviour and minimising the impact of the teacher’s absence on their learning.
When not covering a class, you will assist the Learning Support Team in supporting students in their lessons, or support the Safety Net room, which is where students go to regulate themselves during the day. You may also be asked to support in exam invigilation, interventions or any other reasonable student facing role.
