Your New Company
I am working to recruit an experienced WordPress Developer with strong Elementor skills to join a digital marketing business that has taken the decision to bring their Development back in-house from 3rd parties.
This role is fully office-based initially in Farnham, Surrey but offers a drop to 3-4 days in office after settling in.
Your new role
You'll be joining at the perfect time; the business has some large rebuild projects to undertake which are in the discovery phase at the moment. You'll report to the Technical Director and will initially be one of the only internal Developers. You will have autonomy, trust, and control and can really make your stamp on things.
You should consider yourself mid-level or above working with corporate WordPress builds using custom themes. Also, as the Sole Developer, you'll have the opportunity to assume wider responsibilities for sites, whether that be testing, SEO, Analytics, DNS management, UX, and talking to users about improvements they wish to see.
It's a family-feel business with less than 20 headcount, so team fit will be just as important as technical skills. They value open communication and encourage all staff to have client interaction. Their reputation and brand are everything as business is often through referrals, so you will be encouraged to contribute to a positive culture.
There's a real opportunity here to progress to Senior level and to build your own small team if the company meets its growth plans.
What You'll Need To Succeed
We are seeking a Website Developer with proficiency in Elementor and a strong design background. You must have 3 years+ of commercial development experience working on WordPress and ideally using Elementor as most site builds will use this tool.
Role
The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating visually appealing websites with minimal coding. In this role, you'll have the chance to work with:
* WordPress/Elementor
* Web Design
* DNS Management/SEO best practice, Google Analytics
* Responsive Design: Strong understanding of responsive and adaptive design principles to ensure websites are mobile-friendly
* Content Management Systems (CMS): Experience with other CMS platforms like WordPress (beyond Elementor), WIX, or Squarespace
In order to apply for this role, you should have a portfolio of work you can share/discuss at the interview evidencing your skills.
What You'll Get In Return
The company is big on investing in training for their Developers, and you're encouraged to take days to self-study and work on things you're passionate about. You will get access to various company benefits and there's a Christmas shutdown in addition to enhanced annual leave and life assurance.
They work 9-5 Monday-Friday (with flexibility available) working hard without an expectation of overtime, which is sometimes seen in digital agencies.
