About The Role
Herald Lodge is seeking a Caretaker with proven experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will possess technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, along with some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, ensuring positive interactions with residents and colleagues.
The Caretaker's responsibilities include ensuring residents live in a well-maintained environment through regular inspections and record-keeping. Tasks may include replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, all carried out with kindness as a priority.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. The successful candidate must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond appropriately. Attendance at safeguarding training and the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns are essential.
